A lot of Internet Marketers along with Affiliate Marketers are willing to do anything to cause people to fear Google, but this is not anything you need to spend time worrying about. It is something you should strive to understand and then keep your site updated.
Affiliate marketers have experienced a slap from Google in times past. Some were left without their main income source. But the main issue is the fact they could have known it would happen if they understood about Google’s mission and the way they strive to deliver the best results to their users.
So just what is Google’s goal? That’s easy. Search engines work to deliver the best results for search terms that their users type in to find things. Google place more importance on the best results than on dodgy marketing tactics and shady sales pitches, and this is not exclusive to organic results either. It also applies in regard to Google AdWords as well.
So what motivates Google? Why are they so accurate that most people use them to search online? It’s their very complex algorithm that enables them to measure each page in their index in order to present the best possible results for any given search term.
Although we are never certain about which factors contribute to these algorithms, we are aware that it is made up of a combination of how many backlinks you have and how diverse they are, along with your keyword placement on your pages. These things carry weight with search engines for page ranking.
So the moral of this article is that it’s true many people got stung by Google in the past. These were comprised of advertisers and affiliate marketers, but if you take the time to see what the main aim of Google is then you can avoid these things happening to you.
Think about it. If you are delivering good quality content and it’s keyword rich and solves a problem, and then build some backlinks to your content your site will rank higher. You can stay in that position no matter what Google tries to throw at you. As long as your main goal is delivering the best possible content to your users then you should have absolutely no problem with Google. Never try to game the system and you’ll be fine. Use ethical SEO techniques and keep your nose clean and things will go well.
